We recommend using our Webmail so that you can view emails caught as Spam.
This is especially important if your current settings are POP3.
POP3 cannot see the emails in the Spam folder.

This information describes changes needed to Send and Receive email using Secure POP3 settings.


- Open Thunderbird
- Right-click on your email address at the upper left and click on SETTINGS
- Make sure your Full Email Address is in the “Email Address” box.

- In the white box on the left, click SERVER SETTINGS
- The SERVER NAME box should read: mail.venustel.com
   Change it if it does not read: mail.venustel.com
- Change the Port number from 110 to 995.
- The USER NAME should be your full Email Address.
   Change it to your full Email Address, if needed.
- Under SECURITY SETTINGS, change “Connection security” to “SSL/TLS”.
- Below this, the “Authentication method” should be “Normal password”. Change if needed.

- In the white box, on the left, at the bottom of the list, click OUTGOING SERVER (SMTP)
- Click the EDIT button to the right.
- The SERVER NAME should be: mail.venustel.com
   Change it if it does not read: mail.venustel.com
- Change the PORT number from 25 to 587.
- Change the CONNECTION SECURITY to: STARTTLS.
- Change the AUTHENTICATION METHOD to “Normal password”.
- Change the USER NAME to your full Email Address, if it is not already.

- Click OK to save the SMTP settings.
- Click OK to return to the Inbox.
