Step #1 - Setting the remote to control your TV Power and Volume.
Turn your TV set on - manually (walk up to your TV set and push the power button).
Press the white "TV" button at the top left of the remote. This puts the remote in "TV Only Mode".
Push and hold the "Setup" button (found under the TV button) until the "TV" button blinks twice.
Let go of the "Setup" button.
Key into the number pad "9 9 1"Now aim the remote at your TV set and push the "Channel ^" button. If the TV set turns off, push the "Setup" button again and the "TV" button will blink twice. If TV does not turn off, keep pushing the "Channel ^" button until the TV does go off. **NOTE** - you can not just hold the "Channel ^" button in, you must continually press it and let go. This may take up to 300 button presses depending on your TV manufacturer. Once the TV turns off, press the "Setup" button and the "TV" button will flash twice.
Step #2 - Setting your remote to keep the STB on while turning just the TV off.
Press the white "STB" button at the top right of the remote. This sets the remote to STB Mode.
Push and hold the "Setup" button until the "STB" button flashes twice.
Key into the number pad "9 9 5"
Now press the "Power" button once, then the "TV" button once, then the "STB" button once.
Finally, hold in the "Setup" button until the "STB" button flashes twice.
You have now successfully set up your 1st Generation Amino Remote control to function properly on you Venus Digital TV Home Network.
