PROBLEM - No picture on my TV and light is blinking red on RG2200 or Clock is replaced with blinking amber lights on RG2400. NOTE - this most commonly applies after electrical storms)
SOLUTION - Reset Set-top box by unplugging the power to it, waiting 5 seconds, and plugging it back in. If this does not fix the problem, please call our office and let us know. Lightning is known to statically discharge power into the box via electrical conneciton, or phone connections and damage internal circuits. It is always best to unplug both the phone cable and the electrical power cable from the box during severe lightning, or if you are not going to be home for a long period of time during the storm season.
PROBLEM - Some of my channels are not coming on and the infomational guide says "No Information".
SOLUTION - Try using the up Channel up and down button instead of typing in the channel. If you do not key in the correct number, you will view a channel we do not have, thus creating the "No Information" status. To see this for yourself, try typing 9 on your remote's number pad (to go to channel 9). We offer no channel 9 so obviously, there is no information in the guide regarding channel 9.
PROBLEM - My Remote turns on my TV but won't change my channels
SOLUTION - Try turning your TV to 7 if it is on 3, or turn it to 3 if it is on 7. (do not use our remote, but physically walk up to your TV and hit the channel up or down on the TV itself). Other problems, may be with your VCR - be sure it is on 7 or 3, or just turn it off. If this does not solve your problem, please call our office and report the problem.
PROBLEM - I can't record programs on my VCR
SOLUTION - Please refer to our Helpful Tips page for VCR tips
PROBLEM - You have set up eveything on our box to use the Record this Show function, but it still won't work.
SOLUTION - You need to purchase an IR Blaster from us. We will come out to your house and install it and set it up for you. IR Blasters are a one time $15.00 charge. Please be advised, many DVD/VCR combos are not compatible with our IR Blasters and or set-top boxes. Most VCR's will work jsut fine though.
