1982 Honda ATC 110

HOME

Shelly aquired a really nice shaped 82 ATC 110 and decided to do a full out restoration.Shelly's 110 is all OEM.

The ATC110 was made between 1979 and 1985. There were 3 body styles or "generations" of the ATC110. 1979 and 1980 being the 1st generation. The 1st generation was basically a ATC90 with an engine upgrade from 89cc to 105cc. The 2nd generation was made between 1981 and 1983. 2nd generation was not a whole lot different than the 1st generation - upgrades included a newly styled gas tank and a square headlight. In 1983 the headlight and on/off controls were updated as well as the iginition. 1984 brought the 3rd generation of the ATC110. Although the frame remained virtually unchanged since the US 90 release in 1970, the 3rd generation came with a new style shared with the new for 1984 ATC125M. Updates included a larger seat that actually wrapped up around the gas tank, a newly designed gas tank, a trunk between the rear fenders, and mudflaps with ATC110 molded into them. Through 3 generations of 110s - the engine virtually remained the same, minus the upgrade from points ingnition to CDI in 1983.

Here is a virtual walk through of restoring an ATC

She started by completely tearing it down to nothing. Then came sandblasting and painting everything was then re-assembled.

Here are some pictures of what she started with. Notice Shelly's SWEET!! riding boots!!!

MOST PARTS ARE FINISHED (03/05/06)

A most Productive weekend (04/09/06)

Things are working out very well for Shelly's OEM restore. Should be showroom condition in no time. All she has to do is finish re-assembling it and get the new tires. She ordered Sheng Shin 22X11X8 Knobbies (OEM look-a-likes) on Saturday morning, so they should be in and ready to mount late this week. If all goes well, we'll be "Rolling" by the coming weekend.

OH - Shelly just remembered, she needs to paint her exhaust!!!!

Things are coming together now!!! 4-15/16-06

Re-assembly has gone well, as expected. This machine is rolling. Shelly's just needs some detail cleaning/polishing on the engine and the engine put back in and she has herself a NEW 1982 ATC110 - OEM (or as close as it gets here at Tionesta Trikes). We're down to the end of this project now. I am tickled with the way is has turned out. Enjoy these pictures, as there will only be one more set, and those shall be finished pictures of this Awesome OEM Restore.
