The 1983 Honda ATC185S
HOME
The Honda ATC185S......what to say? Historically (among my friends) this is the trike many have had in the mid 80's and the trike many
have learned to ride on. It's similarities to the ATC200 of the same year are uncanny. With the same gas tank
graphics as the 83 ATC 200, at a first glance they are nearly identical. Upon further inspection, one will see the the
fenders are smaller (both front and rear), it has 8 inch wheels and 22 inch tires, VS the 9 inch wheels and 25 inch tires
of it's big brother. The 200 had a trunk, and the 185S does not.
It has a smaller headlight - much like the 200s - I believe the 200S was molded after the 185S. What a fun machine - it
has plenty of power even for a large fellow such as myself.
I purchased this trike from a local ATV salvage yard on July 2, 2006. He said he just didn't have the heart to part it out.
I couldn't agree with him more - this is a 100% complete machine that is 100% mechanically sound, right down to every brake cable working
freely and every skid plate and chaingurad piece in tact and dent free.
It's engine runs as good or better than any other trike I own - she purrs like a newborn kitten suckling it's mothers teat.
Seems to be a real low hour machine, and from what I can tell, it
may have come from Arizona, because of a dealer sticker on the aftermarket headlight guard. This machine will get some paint
and a good cleaning. What a wonderful addition to my garage.
