The 1980 Honda ATC185
Back in 1979, the largest ATC you could buy was the little ATC110. New for the 1980 line-up came this new larger player in the ATC world. The 1980 ATC185. It was huge compared to the little ATC110 - and it had nearly twice the horsepower. It came with larger 25X12X9 tires and the trike could easily and comfortably haul a large adult around in style. The 1980 ATC185 is unique in many ways. First and probably the most obvious is that it is not red. It is instead, orange. Another oddity about this model is it was only made in 1980 - a one year production run. The only other ATC that was only made for one year was the 1984 ATC200ES Big Red (which also had higher production numbers than any other ATC). The very next production year brought the ATC200 to the table. It was identical in size, but had a few more cc's. From 1981 through 1983, this motor was still used in the ATC185S - which is smaller in stature.
We searched for a while and traveled a very long way to acquire this particular trike. About 700 miles round trip. It was a clean, one owner unit and it remains in the same shape as when we bought it. This is by far our nicest all original 3 wheeler in the collection. It is really in super shape.
