The 1985 Honda ATC70
The 2nd generation ATC70 was re-introduced in 1978 after a 3 year absence from the Honda ATC line-up. It was different from the 1st generation
ATC70 by miles. Completely redesigned in 1978 everything was new and nothing was really interchangable parts wise from the 1st generation to the 2nd
generation. The 2nd generation ATC Is the longest running model without significant changes. Honda really got it right with the little ATC70.
with the exception of a few minor transmission changes and decal and seat color changes the ATC70 remained virtually unchanged from 1978 until 1985.
In today's world, the little ATC70s have become a very popular model to own - even for adults. The timeless design and trustworthy reliability
proves the ATC70 to be a favorite for most 3-wheeler enthusisits. This is the onbly model of the ATC line-up to never receive the CDI upgrade, as the
points style ignition remained until the production ended.
Over the years we have had more ATC70s than any other model. They are just so much fun to ride and so simple to work on. At one point in time we had
4 running good shaped ATC70s. We decided at that point that we needed to thin the heard as we were trying to collect one of each model and needed
all the floor space we could get. We had no problem selling off 3 of them as they are still in high demand. We kept the nicest one for ourselves
and it is the one you see here in our collection.
